Software is a mystery worth solving.Coding didn't appear in my life until I was much older. Even MySpace custom profiles were a mystery to me when I was in middle school. My fixation towards computers originated from my love of video games and desire to make the best PC I could in my elementary days (something I'm very grateful for today). In college I became captivated with understanding programming languages and enjoyed the long hours that were required to solve project tasks. Every layer that I discovered in the universe of programming made me more enthralled in what I could learn next. My passion and focus by the end of college was to understand how distributed systems and the "internet of things" worked. My true strengths did not show themselves until I entered the workforce as an eager software developer. I quickly learned even though the programming principle of abstraction existed to save me time, I found that in some cases it weakened the overall understanding of some programming technologies. It was at that point I found one of my strengths to be an extreme passion for understanding how and why things are the way they are. Along with desires to understand everything I can, problem solving comes natural to me in the programming world. I have a tendency to break down a problem into the smallest pieces that I can manage and plan my path of execution. I continue to be as passionate about the world of software as I was the first day I created "Hello, World" in Java CSE 110 course! I also very much enjoy working with the people in my industry and teaching anyone who wants to learn. There is no greater satisfaction than teaching someone your knowledge that shares the same passions you have.
