I have a passion for building responsive, high-performance teams that are inspired to change the world and redefine how we do business.Some highlights: • I've closed over 75 M&A deals ranging from US$20 million to US$4 billion, both in private practice and in-house across diverse industries, including energy, power, infrastructure, telecommunications, electronics, IT, aerospace/defense, finance, and manufacturing in the U.S., Europe, AsiaPac, South America and Africa• At Raytheon I was recognized for saving US$150 million in non-U.S. sales tax on a project by implementing changes in the delivery point and transfer of title for capital equipment.• At Chevron I was General Counsel to the Executive Vice President of Technology, Projects & Services, a unit of 9000+ employees and managing a global team of 25+ lawyers to rave reviews from both my reports and peers.• I've led the legal side of construction and closeout of massive infrastructure projects, including three that each exceeded US$35B total installed cost. • I bring my broad expertise to bear in managing claims, disputes, arbitration and litigation valued at up to US$2 billion, consistently reducing settlements or awards to a fraction of the claimed amounts.• To combat supplier cost overrun and resulting profit leakage on large construction projects, at Chevron I conceptualized and implemented the Capital Project Stewardship Program, resulting in cost savings in excess of US$500 million within three years.• I developed a reputation for strategic improvements (leading the legal side of Chevron’s migration from on-premises software to the Cloud, including ground breaking contracts with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services), while still “getting the laundry out” (my team negotiated over 12,000 licenses and subcontracts worth approximately US$11B annually).
