    John’s career in the furniture industry began in 1989 as a sales representative for an office furniture dealership in the greater Toronto area. He moved home to Nova Scotia in 1992 to join the Global Group's Halifax team as a junior sales representative. He was promoted in 1993 into his current role. His primary responsibility is to grow Global's regional market share among their dealer network, with emphasis on large commercial, provincial, municipal, educational and health care accounts. By 1996, John's particular strengths in forging long term relationships, project management, training and client satisfaction had guided Global to the largest market share of any commercial furnishings manufacturer in the Nova Scotia and Newfoundland marketplace. This is a position in the marketplace that is still held currently
