I am a PhD student at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington, passionate about advancing rigorous evidence to inform effective and environmentally sustainable solutions to poverty alleviation in the developing world. I take a special interest in the topics of food security and social protection.I am a recipient of a Master's degree in Global Human Development from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. My academic specializations were in Quantitative Analysis and Environmental Sustainability, with a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in the West African country of Benin for over two years. My primary project centered around capacity building in environmentally sustainable farming practices and financial management for a cooperative of 10 gardeners and over 10,000 village stakeholders. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. I received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Social Theory and Practice and French, along with a minor in Environment.
