With 31 years of experience as a financial advisor, I feel I have developed a keen understanding of how to help people in defining and pursuing their goals. I have a passion for helping members of the military community. I coach military professionals and families seeking financial security, as well as mentoring members of the military and veterans transitioning to civilian careers.After serving in the U.S. Army for over 9 years as an Intelligence Officer, I joined First Command as a financial advisor at the office near Fort Polk, Louisiana. I served the clients there for 5 years before moving on to Abilene, Texas for my first post-military leadership position. As a District Advisor (DA), I helped my district to engage the communities in both Abilene and San Angelo working with the military professionals to get them squared away financially. First Command then transferred me and my family to Dayton, Ohio to assist in the growth of the office there. For the next 20 years I mentored an advisor force over the three-state area of Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. The dedication of my team inspired us all to strive to provide unparalleled service to both our active duty and civilian clients.For the next two years, I had the pleasure of assisting 16 DAs in the Western half of the United States and in the Pacific in Hawaii and Guam. With 140 financial advisors serving thousands of clients, my role was to help these DAs to recruit new advisors and train their teams while inspiring them to serve clients with passion and conviction.My current role in the Home Office of First Command is to assist our field force with their day-to-day challenges of being a financial advisor. I enjoy helping to remove distractions so they can focus on coaching clients in their financial journeys.
