Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army (CASAs) are business and communityleaders appointed by the Secretary to advise and support Army leaders across thecountry. CASAs come from many professions including business, education, finance,industry, law, the media, medicine and public service. Each is proactively involved inthe community and brings to the position an interest in the Army, a high degree ofbusiness and civic leadership and an ability to influence the public. CASAs are SpecialGovernment Employees who agree to serve as representatives of the Secretary of theArmy without salary, wages or related benefits, and are afforded a 3-star protocolstatus.CASAs bridge the gap between the Army and civilian community by disseminatinginformation about the Army’s objectives and major programs to the public throughspeeches, personal contact and participation in Army and community events. CASAsassist with recruiting by increasing the positive image of the Army and connecting Armyrecruiters to key influencer's in the community.CASAs provide individual advice to the Secretary of the Army on public sentimentstoward the Army. CASAs work closely with Army leaders and installation commandersand serve as the Secretary’s liaison for Army National Guard and Army Reservematters. They also engage with local, regional, and state officials, Federal Agencies,Members of Congress and their staff.Each CASA is committed to supporting all Department of Army Civilians, Soldiersand their Families. In particular, CASAs partner with the Soldier of Life program toassist Soldiers as they transition from the Army.

Chief of Operations leads a multidisciplinary TS/SCI team of Army, Navy, Marine, and Air Force Watch Officers responsible for receiving information from across the Area of Operation, provide oversight to synchronize National Security Agency and Country specific intelligence analyst team, along with Public Affairs, Web Operations, and Knowledge Management personnel to provide strategic and salient operational information for the commander make executive decisions. .

Developed and trained current and future leaders of the Massachusetts National Guard. Led the professional cadre and staff to develop and execute US Training and Doctrine Command accredited courses and various programs of instruction. Ensured all met the academic rigor to exceed the standards for each of the 20 courses held annually at Regional Training Institute, Massachusetts Military Academy.

Responsible for 6,300 soldiers and their families' human resource personnel policy and process. Lead with ease the 22 soldiers directorate that implemented promotions, policy, HR data systems management, casualty and funeral operations, educational incentives and monetary bonuses, and administrative oversight on congressional and medical investigations and medical board evaluation.

Retention Battalion Commander - won 9 National Awards for meeting recruiting, retaining, and attrition mission metrics.
