In this role, I managed the lower division undergraduate physics laboratories for the University of Colorado at Boulder. This involves accommodating 3,300+ students per week in a 19,000 square foot lab space.-Redesigned and upgraded experimental apparatuses, laboratory manuals, and implementationof new experiments. Topics include: mechanics, electricity and magnetism, optics, and quantum phenomenon.-Produced testing/calibration procedures and data analysis methods for experimental apparatus. Intended for use by laboratory staff to ensure operation and function of experiments. -Delivered instruction on experimental procedures, data analysis, writing laboratory reports, and error analysis. Additional topics include: statistics, physics, mathematics, and engineering.-Provided effective training sessions to graduate teaching assistants ensuring teaching staff were well prepared and students had a productive and engaging experience.-Diagnose issues with malfunctioning equipment and fix problems in a timely manner.-Trained and supervised undergraduate lab assistants.-Work with faculty, students, and other staff to resolve issues in a positive and productive manner.

I was an undergraduate researcher in the GWOL (Guided Wave Optics Laboratory) at C.U. Boulder in the electrical engineering department. Our group studied the properties of non-linear polymers for application in optical and photonic devices. My role was fabricating and characterizing the optical properties of thin polymer films. I have experience designing, fabricating, and using custom optical apparatus, in addition to using a wide variety of measurement equipment. I utilized a variety of analysis methods and graphing techniques to communicate results and findings in reports to industry stakeholders. Research was performed under a partnership with Light Wave Logic Inc.

As a laboratory assistant, I primarily assisted fellow students with experiments, write lab reports, and their data analysis. I also repaired damaged equipment and construced new apparatus.
