During my time with ConocoPhillips, I worked as a Completions Engineering Intern in the North Midland Basin. Roughly half of my time was spent in the field, familiarizing myself with completions in the Permian. I observed all completions operations including well prep, frac, and drillouts (CTU and Stick Pipe).The rest of my time was spent in the office working on a project to evaluate completions designs by comparing offset pressure monitoring results with fiber optic data (DAS, DTS, Strain). Much of the work was related to evaluating the impact of stage length and cluster design on fracture driven interactions and what that might mean for fracture growth. Throughout the summer, I became proficient in WellView, TIBCO Spotfire, Abra Controls SpotterTech, and Reveal Energy's ORCHID pressure analysis tool. Additionally, I applied knowledge in Python to QA/QC and manipulate large datasets.

After a significant change in summer plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was fortunate enough to accept a position as a Combustion Engineering Intern with Innovative Combustion Technologies. During my time with ICT, I primarily worked in coal-fired powerplants across the southeast conducting boiler and pulverizer testing. These tests mainly used airflow, temperature, and emissions contour mapping to understand and optimize the combustion processes.I was also able to work on several projects in the office and catalyst lab. The two most notable of these were designing and fabricating an electronics cooling system and aiding in the construction of a catalyst testing micro-bench.

As an intern at Encana, I spent the majority of my time participating in field operations in North Dakota. I was primarily exposed to Completions operations, but also had experience with Drilling and Production. During my time in the field, I was able to see the entire life cycle of a well from spud to POP to workovers. This particular experience directly impacted my understanding of how each discipline must work together in order to build a cost-effective and productive well.Aside from my time in the field, I worked on several data mining and analysis projects using Peloton WellView, TIBCO Spotfire, and Microsoft Excel. I was able to directly apply my field experiences to these projects in a way that ensured quality data sets.

During my time with Eddleman Properties, my crew and I worked 50+ hour weeks to ensure that landscaping on Eddleman-owned properties was properly controlled. Aside from the expected grass mowing and chemical applications, our job would also often include property management tasks such as erosion control and storm cleanup. We worked construction and residential sites on rotation throughout the week. Over this summer, I also gained valuable experience leading and working with Spanish-speakers despite a language barrier.
