I established Tozai (Japanese characters for east west) strategists to pursue consulting projects post my twenty-five year corporate career, (nineteen of which were spent living and working overseas). The DBA Icelandic Creations came about in 2000 when we started a business of breeding and raising Icelandic horses. In 2003 we opened a fitness center in our local New Hampshire village, and I decided to start writing business based novels. This month 'Executive Samurai' has been published and is available on Amazon. I'm busy writing the sequel.

CEO, hired to turnaround, restructure and sell the nine direct selling companies that made up the group. Companies were in western Europe, Latin America and the U.S. Seven years of sales declines were halted and eight of the nine companies were sold to Yves Rocher cosmetics in December 1997. The remaining manufacturing company, located in Spain, was sold in December 1999. From June 1998 to December 1999 I continued as Chairman and CEO of the Spanish manufacturing and negotiated the sale.

The early nineties were a challenging time for the Canadian spirits market. Much cheaper products were being brought across the boarder from the US illegally, as Canadian spirit prices were over twice the US prices due to taxation differences. In 1993/1994 I had the opportunity of becoming the Chairman of the board of directors of the Association of Canadian Distillers lobbying federal and provincial tax authorities for equal taxes across all alcoholic beverages.
