Responsible for securing new business from enquiry and building up relationships with potential long term clients (discussing rates and requirements). Supervised the containerised delivering and collection of goods from international sites, ensuring correct hazardous documents and labels were issued and temperature controlled loads monitored to spec. Generating job details for hauliers and following up to ensure that containers are available for collection and sufficient information (PIN/MI Job ref) has been supplied to deliver/collect from Port/storage yard. Founding member of a team set up to create a Transport Depot within 39 Berth Tilbury, responsible for creating Executive Information for Ships Manifests, liaising with HM Customs & Excise and TCS terminal staff to identify and resolve any operational problems. This was carried out through the use of 24-hour monitoring using Freightliner (RAIL) and TCS (Ship/Landside) computers (Import & Export). Effective scheduling of vehicles to maintain vehicle supply, maximize profitability and to ensure customer service levels and legal requirements were met.
