Create design solutions for robotic applications, such as weld positioners, material handling and other customer specific systems.

-Creating mechanical components and assemblies(Solid Edge ST5) for material handling systems. Performed conversion of existing designs in Unigraphics NX to Solid Edge as required. -Developed an a customer-focused assembly configurator to aid Engineering Dept. in accurately designing custom solutions.

-Designed loading arm assemblies for the Petro-Chemical industries(ASME B31.3). Performed the required moment calculations to ensure operator safety. -Provided cost estimates and generated costed BOM.

•Created mechanical components and assemblies (SolidWorks 2013) for articulated mounting arms and smart televisions for hospital applications. This included overall product layout and component design. •Managed design project deliverables, product documentation and test plans.

•Management of multiple projects involving new product launches, cost & quality, customer service, safety hazard mitigation, competitive analysis in a cross-functional environment. •Developed business cases for new model planning. •Monitored product returns which included month-to-month, year-to-year charting on a model-by-model basis. Provided timely reports the Product Safety Dept.

•Managed Project Design (Solid Edge ST4) of system and components for Compatible Water Tank Rack (HIPPO). This included overall product layout and component design. Performing the required design calculations and analysis, validation of concept, material selection, supplier approval. •Provided timely project updates, Co-ordination of sourcing process with Manufacturing and Purchasing functions. •Developed costed BOM for DoD bid submission.

•Managed the launch of Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor. Including such supporting activities as: BOM, DFMEA, Control Plan, Design Validation Testing and Product/Process Improvement.•Advanced development of Soot Sensor from concept to deliverable engineering test samples. (IDEAS)•Performed stack-up analysis of final assembly with respect to sub-component tolerance and thermal expansion.•Planning and Implementation of Chassis Dynamometer Test Stand. •Developed and implemented mechanical design concept of hybrid energy storage systems (Ford Fusion Hybrid - $37.5M/year project) – (Solid Edge & UG NX3).•Identified and developed new suppliers to meet specialized needs outside of core product base.•Monitored suppliers progress toward production implementation and approval.•Reduced quantity of fasteners from 415 to 224 over previous battery pack design.•Developed and maintained BOM, DFMEA and PPAP schedule.

•Created CAD models and drawings for engine control modules and pressure sensors: PODS-Passive Obstacle Detection System, MAP-Manifold Air Pressure, Hydraulic Pressure Module (UG NX3).

•Supported Integrated Circuit Packaging through material testing and analysis.•Responsible for equipment selection and lab implementation.•Supervision of lab technicians.•Programming and operation of MTS testing system which involved tensile, compression, cyclic fatigue testing of plastic composite materials over -40°C to 300°C temperature range.
