I recently graduated with my bachelors of chemistry in May from Eastern Illinois University and eager to start my career in the chemical industry!My main research during my undergrad was working on the construction of a microkinetic model of the thermal decomposition of PFOA with Dr. Steven Pellizzeri. My contribution to this research won the Wolfram Alpha award at the 8th annual ECI-ASC Undergraduate Research Conference in 2023!From my organic chemistry research I worked with Dr. Zhiqing Yan in the synthesis and isolation of a calix[4]arene dimer. This gave me hands on experience in a wet lab and chromatography methods.I’m motivated to begin my career as a chemist and eager to be a valuable asset to my next workplace. ⬇️More about me⬇️I moved to Gold Bar Washington in early August to pursue my dream as a chemist along with living in the mountains. I grew up in central Illinois, there wasn’t much to look at besides corn and beans so I needed some better scenery. Besides chemistry I have a passion for astronomy which stemmed mainly from my interests in spectroscopy. I enjoy keeping up to date on research about neutron stars, black hole phenomena, and distant galaxy studies!
