I work with cities, counties, school districts and other government entities. As an advocate, I have experience making appearances in State and Federal District Court, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, administrative agency hearings, arbitration hearings and mediations. As an advisor, I work with clients to find practical, cost-effective solutions to a broad range of legal issues, such as open meetings and data privacy matters, conducting investigations, processing and analyzing land use applications, and drafting and reviewing contracts, ordinances, resolutions and other documents. I frequently present at conferences and in-service trainings on topics related to school law. If I cannot find a solution to your legal problem, I will refer you to someone who can.
