RESPONSIBILITIES:Accountable for the group administrative , financial and risk management operations including the development of key operational metrics for divisional general managers designed to report accurate financial results. Drive the project management review process for all major engineering construction contracts (over 40 major projects delivered over 5 years). ACHIEVEMENTS:Ensuring the financial control , disciplines & reporting systems of the business coped with the initial rapid expansion (sales growth over 100% between 2007 & 2009) following the NextCapital acquisition.Creating the monthly management reporting system using a series of excel based spreadsheets utilising advanced functions. Ensuring the acquisitions of the Major Metals business and Air Ride Wind business were fully integrated into the group reporting structure and financial controls.Ensuring the working capital investment of the group was tightly controlled ( reduced from 14% in FY11 to 8% in FY12) in order to maximise cash reserves.Driving the project management education process within the major projects group (with 14 persons successfully gaining ACPM qualifications) and ensuring project reviews are structured along PMBOK’s guidelines.
