I am a partner and shareholder at Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi & Rudloff with a practice concentrating on first-party insurance coverage and bad faith disputes. I have represented insurance companies in property coverage litigation (fire, wind, hail, collapse, etc...), energy (upsteam/downstream/power gen - conventional and renewables), and builders risk litigation (including addressing LEG2 and LEG3 disputes, manuscript forms, CAR/EAR forms, and including complex DSU disputes). I have assisted insurers with taking eight and nine-figure disputes to trial, and have successfully resolved hundreds of high exposure claims arising from U.S. and international loss events.I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC). I serve as the Chair of the IDC's Legislative Committee. I am the Editor in Chief of the IDC Survey of Law, and previously served as Editor in Chief of the IDC Quarterly and the IDC Quarterly's Legislative Columnist. For several years, I also served as an appointed Investigator for the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. I am a member of the Illinois bar.My law degree was obtained, with distinction, from The University of Iowa College of Law. I have two undergraduate degrees, in finance and political science, which were also obtained from The University of Iowa. Following law school, I served as the law clerk to the Hon. Bruce A. Markell in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada. Previously, I served as the Chair of the Housing Commission in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and I have served as an appointed commissioner to the Arlington Heights Senior Citizens Commission.
