John Sterling Endicott, M.D., M.P.H. is an Occupational and Environmental Medicine physician practicing medicine in Hawaii since August 1988. He obtained his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1983. After completing a transitional surgical internship in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Endicott then worked running one of two Occupational Medicine clinics in Portland, Oregon under the direction of Robert Armbruster, M.D., a Board Certified Occupational Medicine physician. After gaining 2 years of clinical experience, Dr. Endicott spent 2 years in the Occupational and Environmental Medicine residency program at the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Endicott credits Stanley Bigos, M.D., orthopedic spine specialist, for his guidance and training in the evaluation and treatment of complex spine problems. Dr. Endicott moved to Hawaii to take a position at Straub Clinic & Hospital, Inc. In addition to working full time in the Occupational Medicine Department, Dr. Endicott was the Employee Health physician and served on the Infection Control committee. He also was involved with the Environmental Health and Workers' Compensation committees with the Hawaii Medical Association. He served as Department chair of the Occupational Health Department for 5 out of the 11+ years at Straub. He has been in the private clinical practice of Occupational and Environmental medicine in Kailua, Hawaii since December 1999. He completed his M.P.H. through the University of Hawaii School of Public Health in 1995.
