From the first time I played Ultima VII: The Black Gate, I knew I wanted to work in videogames when I grew up. After several years of volunteering for various fan sites and dabbling in the modding community for games both obscure and well-known, I took a job as a QA Term Tester at BioWare, and I've been there ever since.At my heart, I'm a storyteller, and games have always struck me as the ideal medium in which to tell stories - the interactivity makes it so the player isn't simply observing the story, they're part of it. With an empathic approach to game design and storytelling, I've worked in a number of different parts of the narrative process - as a cinematic designer on Dragon Age, as the supervisor for storyboards on Anthem, as a QA Story Analyst on Mass Effect 2, and most recently, as Narrative Director (and now Creative Director0 on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.I focus on helping teams achieve their potential by providing an appropriate amount of guidance where necessary, and removing obstacles the rest of the time. As a leader and a manager, I prioritize empowerment and compassion, taking a people-first approach to problem solving and conflict resolution. I'm excited about the work I do, and I believe in sharing that excitement with those around me. I believe strongly in compassionate radical candor, as well as servant leadership, and model this behavior in how I interact with those around me.I also have a production mindset where necessary, able to create plans for short, medium and long term success, and to work with others to define new best practices and workflows where appropriate. I mix that with a strong creative mindset to do my job as best I can, and while I've just started in my newest role as Creative Director, I am already excited to see what challenges the job brings.
