Warehouse Manager
Current• Maintains key operational performance metrics, which are presented to executive levels of management and all employees, are held accountable for all tasks. • Manages a team of with the responsibility for performing ongoing receiving, shipping, (domestic/internationally) Flexing labor as needed • Inventory control in the form of cycle counts are conducted on time and per company specifications.• Schedules daily/weekly work tasks and assignments, allocates resource coverage and ensures the coverage plans with the team.• All staff members receive adequate training /remain current with designated training requirements as necessary to perform their roles. This includes forklift certification, lab access certification (ESD) and required human resource training. • Develops and maintains all specifications and procedures that are specific to plant warehousing. Ensures such policies and procedures as designated for warehousing are followed safely, accurately and efficiently.• Investigates performance issues to determine the cause of failure and follows up with corrective actions. • Resolves operational issues that prevent efficient handling of inbound and/or outbound shipments (i.e.; Receipt Tracking Requests for receipts and sales order sample shipments both domestic and international).• Effectively manages and executes activities as required by warehouse functions for shipping, receiving and distribution processes through SAP. • Executes/approves urgent requests for shipments to customers both domestic and internationally if the shipment has exceeded the established cut off time.• Maintains equipment,i.e. forklifts and delivery vehicles on a regular basis • Communicates with Finance to develop and meet operational and cost center spending • Manages all purchases for dock operations. Creates purchase orders for packing supplies, office supplies and maintenance contracts for delivery vehicles and forklifts• Actively engages in the use of 5S methodology
