Started my second charter high school from scratch. What a great opportunity to get to know the needs of the "heart of Aurora" students. Collaborated with numerous community colleges and Pickens Tech, so that students could earn an industry certification or their Associate's Degree for FREE while in high school.

What a fantastic opportunity to lead the opening of a new charter high school where students have the chance to earn their Associate Degree while in high school! I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of operation from finances to building permits, textbooks, staffing, grant writing, and plunging toilets. In a new charter school, one does everything necessary! The school opened with 314 students in 2014 and grew to over 480 going into the 2016-17 school year. Developing partnerships with 11 local community colleges and four year universities was critical to the ability of students to maximize their opportunities to graduate with as many college credits as possible.

I have the fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of a charter school that is a disruptive innovator for how students can earn free college in high school! My role is to develop and implement school wide policies and procedures in the areas of safety, discipline and school culture. I support teachers in the area of behavior and classroom management while overseeing most educational support staff.

I worked as Weld County's only Institutional Abuse/Neglect Investigator. I investigated allegations of abuse and neglect throughout Weld County in their licensed Foster Homes, Day Care Homes, Day Care Centers, Group Homes and Youth Correction Facility.

I worked directly with my wife and family at a Live-In position with Boys Town. We took in and cared for over 80 children who had been abused or neglected. We provided them a stable home, behavioral treament planning and a loving family environment.

I was responsible for the oversight of a 30 bed youth treatment facility, serving both boys and girls. Provided direct and phone consultation to staff in times of crises. Worked with community and state leaders to increase the awareness of Boys Town, resulting in an increase in occupancy rates. Successfully led efforts to improve treatment planning, as indicated by dramatic rise in youth treatment goals met upon discharge.
