NorthState.Net was a small ISP with a total staff of four people with approximately 300 users. Customer support on-site and by phone-mail were required for new and existing clients.

Was the owner/operator (sysop) of a public dial-up Bulletin Board System (BBS) in Redding CA. During this time I worked with many other sysops in the area and helped them with setting up their own BBS's and with another Sysop we created AlterNet which was an early BBS networking system to allow BBS messages and mail to be transferred and synchronized between different BBS's. This was pre wide spread internet and all communications were dial-up. I closed the system down after internet access became more popular and Forums have since replaced the old BBS.
