• The Concept for C-SPAN was formed over lunch one day in July 1977 in Arlington, VA with C-SPANS' founding CEO and myself as way to open Government up, specifically the US House of Representatives with the US Senate.
• Recommend the appropriate level of C-SPAN financial reserves and oversee the reserve’s investment strategy and policy.
• Review the annual operating budget and long term plan including rate increases with recommendations to the executive committee and board
• Approve the annual audit, IRS Form 990 and IRS 401B filing
• Implement a long-term approach to C-SPAN investments
• Review C-SPAN’s digital preservation plans to ensure the content is preserved for the next generation
