I work as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Intermountain Education Service District. I serve students ages 6-21 in La Grande School District. I graduated from University of Oregon in December of 1983 with a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and I have been working with students in the school setting since then. I started work in January of 1984 with Port Angeles School District in Port Angeles, WA. In 1989 I moved back to my home town of La Grande, Oregon where I worked with Union-Baker Education Service District until that organization became part of Intermountain ESD in 2011. I have also worked with adult patients at Grande Ronde Hospital here in La Grande, as well as in nursing homes and care facilities. I am certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as through the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and through the Oregon Teachers Standards and Practices Commission. I am marred to Kathleen (Kit) Evans, a Registered Nurse at Grande Ronde Hospital in La Grande, and we have two grown daughters. In my spare time I like to spend family time, be outdoors, go birdwatching, travel, read books, listen to music, watch sports, surf the internet, worship our cats, and sing and play keyboards in a band here in town (Standard Deviation).
