Rigging Supervisor
* Plan, coordinate, and supervise workers engaged in all rigging and lifting activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures.* Review contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements which the contractor's must meet. *Ship check rigging tasks prior to start of contract to identify the proper tools/equipment needed, identify rigging routes/openings available for movement and maneuvering, identify interferences restricting rigging routes, identify areas for crane set up, etc.* Plan and coordinate the rigging and movement of equipment to, from, and through the interior and exterior of Navy ships. *Conduct basic and advanced loading of heavy crane lift projects* Design, plan, coordinate, and conduct weight/pull testing and certification on ship's load handling equipment* Optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of a project* Resolves simple, informal complaints of employees and refers others, such as formal grievances and appeals to the foreman * Ensure that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials need to complete tasks.* Read and understand specifications, drawings, blueprints, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.* Prepare reports and maintain records of work completed and and communicate work-related information to the foreman. * Enforce strict compliance with all Safety procedures, including all company rules and regulations* Attend production meetings and participate in continuous improvement activities* Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, and work plans* Design, plan, and implement effective risk management plan to ensure that all threats to the successful completion of specific task items in the contract are addressed and mitigated in the Government’s best interests.
Rigger 2
*Align, level, and anchor machinery.*Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.*Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and using bolts and clamps.*Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, come alongs, and other equipment.*Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.* Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.*Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment and ships*Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.*Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensuresafety of workers and materials.*Test rigging to ensure safety compliance and reliability.*Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques and proper rigging equipment* Lead and coordinate various jobs and tasks, conducting job safety analysis and rigging plans prior to performing task* Train junior mechanics on proper rigging practices and techniques.* Provide technical assistance for various unique jobs and tasks.* Member of Joint Safety Team* Member of improvement team
Crane Operator/Rigger
* Trained and qualified in operating tower and portal/Locomotive cranes* Perform operational checks on crane equipment prior to operation* Documentation of unsatisfactory equipment, repairs, and malfunctions.* Extensive training and experience in rigging equipment on, off ships using weight calculations, route analysis, and critical thinking skills* Perform crane operation and assist in rigging of pumps, motors, small/large pipe and structural members, shafts, rudders, propellers, mrg, antennas, sliding pad eyes, etc.* Perform job analysis before critical lifts and after action reviews* Provide input on planned lifts, heavy lifts, high priority lifts, etc.* Assist in directing and supervising tandem crane lifts when situation or project requires.* Make safe, sound and accurate judgment on all crane lifts.* Operator trainer for new hires* Surpassed expectations and skills of veteran operators* Participate in leadership activities* Make quick and informed decisions**Commercial, Dept. Signal Support System Specialist
* Plan, supervise, and integrate the installation, operation, and maintenance of Combat Net Radio (CNR), to include radio, wire and battlefield automated systems.* Plan and provide unit level training for automation and communications systems and SignalSupport equipment. Assist in staff supervision of information services.* Plan, supervises and executes unit level maintenance programs for user owned and operated signal equipment.* Prepare maintenance and supply requests for unit level signal support.* Responsible for the health and welfare, mentor-ship and training of 6 trainees.* Perform senior operator duties and unit level maintenance functions.* Responsible for training personnel in the installation, operation, and maintenance of SINCGARS, ASIP and associated line of site equipment; and BFT Command and Control systems.* Provide the installation, operation, and maintenance of all signal support systems to include local area and wide area networks and routers.* Responsible for network integration using radio, wire, and battlefield automated systems.* Direct unit signal training and provide technical advice and assistance.* Execute communications security management (COMSEC) policies and guidelines within theBattalion.* Provide automation setup, accountability, distribution and troubleshooting of information systems and devices valued at over $500,000 assigned to the battalion.
