Manager of the positioning department onboard high end 3D Marine Seismic Vessels, carrying out surveys for clients such as Total/ENI, Petronas, ONGC and TGS. I have also deputised in the role of Party Manager on a number of occasions during this period.Main responsibilities included:-Survey planning, from job start up to execution and completio. Also assisting sales and marketing regarding vessel achievements.-Equipment set up, designing positioning networks, maintenance and repair.-Real time monitoring and post processing of positional data.-QC/QA of all positional data on-board.-Ultimately responsible for the final navigation product provided to the clients.-Manage all QHSE matters in the department, PTW, Work instructions, JSA, Hazard reporting and Action Points. Also member of the on-board Safety Committee-Managing the department personnel, building team spirit and encouraging development. Also performing annual appraisals and personal improvement plans.-Liaise with clients on-board reporting issues and resolutions to meet both company and client expectations.Vessels:Polar EmpressPolar Marquis

Manager of the on-board survey/positioning department on marine seismic vessels, participating in 30+ projects for companies such as BP, ExxonMobil, Statoil and Petrobras.During this period I have used a large number of survey specific hardware and software, includng industry standard and systems in development. I was also involved, and keen to promote R and D teams on-board to test new technologies.I have performed well on all vessels during this period, participating in multiple high end towed streamer 3D surveys, 4D and undershoots. Participation in 20+ projects in marine seismic as positioning department manager. This included 2D surveys, small scale 3D operations. I also was part of 4C ocean bottom surveys in the Persian Gulf and offshore Papua. As Chief Navigator on the Geo Mariner, we conducted surveys off the Iranian coast in shallow water, often in dense fishing areas. Also performed surveys offshore Dubai, prior to Palm Island construction. I was a key member when upgrading the vessel in Dubai, both at start up and during a later upgrade to small scale 3D vessel.

Starting my seismic career on 2D surveys and undershoots, later progressing to shift leader on multi vessel, multi streamer operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
