Front-end web developer leveraging the lessons learned from 20 years as a professional kickboxer, instructor, and salesman to create strong, robust, and intuitive user experiences on the web. Recently earned a certificate in full stack web development from Georgia Tech, with newly developed skills in JavaScript, including Mongo, Express, React.js, and Node, as well as CSS and mySql. Known as an insightful and innovative problem solver passionate about efficiency with a focus on quality of user experience, in my last project I leveraged all of the above in collaboration with a team of three to develop a single-page MERN app that enables users to upload geolocated images from anywhere in the world to their profile, which then populates a world map with GPS accurate tabs for each image using google maps API. I’m excited to leverage all my skills as part of a fast-paced, quality-driven team to build creative apps and better web experiences.Before that I worked as a personal trainer, coach, and martial artist for more than 20 years all across the country. I'm a tested and certified member of multiple national organizations, from NASM to SAG, and have worked as an instructor or trainer for everything from 30+ member cardio kickboxing classes in gyms to one on one in-residence personal training. I've worked with clients age 4-74 on topics as varied as general fitness for wheelchair-bound individuals to coaching striking for competitive martial artists.I've also been working as a professional stunt man and freelance fight director for more than 15 years. I've been tested and certified as member of multiple national stunt and fight organizations, from SAG to the Society of American Fight Directors, and have worked as a fight director or stunt performer for everything from Tony award winning theaters to high schools, full budget features to small independent films, commercials, live stunt shows, teaching, and everything in between.I've been called high energy, charismatic, easy to work with, reliable, and talented.
