With broad interests in written and multimedia communication, I have worked as a producer, editor and writer for music, television and medical magazines, websites, DVDs and newspapers. My non-fiction has appeared in publications like the Chicago Tribune, USA Today, People Magazine, High Fidelity Magazine and the AMA's American Medical News. Since 1993, I've served in a variety of capacities with The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), overseeing its news publications (including Plastic Surgery News), public and member websites and at one point, IT and membership services infrastructure. For three years I wrote, engineered and narrated a monthly society news podcast (PlastyPod) and have contributed original music to both the podcast and website promotions. I've led departments to develop custom practice websites for ASPS member surgeons (WebGOLD), launch a practice management book line (Pearls of Practice), and create a revitalized surgeon referral and patient community program (Plastic Surgeon Match). For eight years, I led an Online Education department which created the society's first clinical online education platform, the Plastic Surgery Education Network (PSEN). In my current role, I oversee the society's meeting, product and membership marketing initiatives via print, web and e-mail channels.
