I was based in the Survey Research and Evaluation Unit, but supported multiple projects using a variety of database and geospatial data analysis techniques. I also provided technical project management services and consulted with multiple groups on long-term data development needs, data governance, and data security requirements for data sharing agreements and programs.

My research focii include macroregional analysis, prehistoric archaeology, and environmental informatics.

I was responsible for maintaining and making available all data and publications related to research at the Coweeta Long-Term Ecological Research site. I conducted socio-ecological research with a team of other social scientists, including economists, hydrologists, and foresters. I assisted with and also led grant writing efforts and was the Co-Chair of the Information Management Committee for the National Science Foundation's Long-Term Ecological Research Network from 2012 through 2014.

I conducted Geographic Information Systems-based research on the long-term relationships between landscape structure and human settlement in the southeastern United States.
