Created utility layout plans for approximately 400 sheets of landside and airside utilities. ■ Sacramento County Airport System, Sacramento International Airport Terminal Modernization Program – SCAS Airport Potable Water System and Cross Connection Evaluation, Sacramento, CA: Project Engineer responsible in coordinating a potable water system evaluation and inspection of approximately 200 backflow prevention devices. ■ Sacramento County Airport System (SCAS), Water System Model - Fire Flow Testing: Assisted in conducting a hydraulic analysis of the existing water system fire flow capacity to propose improvements and to verify design parameters for the new Terminal Modernization Project. Conducted hydrant flow testing plan in order to obtain appropriate information to calibrate the water model. The project involved developing preliminary design documents with detailed plan and profile sheets along the proposed alignment. Challenges included layout of a approximately 5,200 feet of 42 and 48-inch large diameter pipeline in an existing highly congested utility network, and options for trenchless technology at key locations (for example, the K Street pedestrian tunnel). In addition, extensive coordination with existing utility providers was conducted.■ City of Manteca, Wastewater Quality Control Facility Phase III Expansion, Manteca, CA: • Schedule D: Layout of large diameter 12- inch to 42-inch facility process piping. Plan and profiles were developed for each large diameter pipe. Six different types of large diameter pipes intersected each other in several locations and required intensive layout to avoid any potential conflict during construction. Coordination with electrician engineer was conducted during design to avoid conflict with medium voltage layout for the project. A piping coordinate layout was also developed to prevent potential conflicts during construction. In addition, land development desktop was utilized to grade the site and the ponds for the facility. A 3D model was made to help visualize finish grading of the site. • Schedule C: Solids handling facility site layout, grading, and drainage along with process piping layout. Multi-discipline coordination with mechanical, structural, and plumbing. • Industrial Pipeline Project: Design Engineer responsible for rehabilitation of existing secondary pond and adding an additional 6-MG attached pond for aeration. Construction drawings included pond and berm grading, details for large diameter piping berm penetrations, inlet/outlet structures, and pump station layout.
