I am currently a visiting assistant professor of history at the United States Military Academy at West Point (USMA). I specialize in Modern European History with expertise in the political, military, and urban history of Central and Eastern Europe. My manuscript, “Bulwark of Empire: Imperial and Local Government in Przemyśl, Galicia (1867-1939),” was initially written under the advisement of Charles Ingrao at Purdue University, with support from a Fulbright grant, a Kosciuszko Fellowship, and a Global Synergy Grant from Purdue University, and is now under consideration with Cornell University Press. I can teach a variety of history classes, though I focus on Modern European History, with an emphasis on the Austro-Hungarian Empire and I can teach survey courses on European, Western Civilization, and World History and government. I taught Introduction to Western Civilization at Purdue University in person and online. I can also provide advanced courses or mentorship on the nationalism, or Central Europe more generally, as well as Austria and East Central Europe. My secondary fields are Late Imperial Russia and Twentieth Century East Central Europe. I have taken extensive coursework in Russian and Eastern European fields and can confidently teach about Russian and Soviet imperial institutions, cultures, and borderlands. I have also TA’ed for World and Japanese History.
