Consistently proving myself, I’ve worked my way up from the most junior graduate IT role to a member of the University IT Leadership team.     This role originated as part of the University's e-Strategy programme aimed at attaining a "web enabled campus, supported by mobile technology". At the time there was a small amount of corporate smartphones and BYOD and it was my responsibility to implement and provide a support service for these whilst at the same time working with colleagues to develop new mobile services and work on a variety of project. Due to the ongoing nature of mobile development the role was incorporated into IT Services and now sits within the IT Systems team. During this role I managed 2 staff providing mobile support as part of ALPS project (2006 - 2010) and also led a small 4 person development sub team building mobile and web apps (2014 - 2016). Other duties in this role included:- Service manager for NotifyLink, our Mobile Device Management Server.- Service manager for Blackboard ConnectTxt.- Service manager for About UoB, our University mobile app developed on the CampusM platform.- Developer for About UoB.- In collaboration with the Head of IT Support & Telecoms, ensure mobile policies are fit for purpose, appoint mobile telephony suppliers, etc.- Work with business to identify requirements and implement mobile systems / solutions.- Provide technical expertise on projects when needed.- Provide 3rd line technical support.- Produce support materials for 1st and 2nd line, and user documentation.
