Through John's Portfolio Australia he represents a significant group of private investors who directly participate in funds established by Avior Capital Partners where he has been a consultant over the past 5 years through the parent Avior Consulting ( aviorconsulting.com.au ). Similarly John's Portfolio investor group invests in bespoke opportunities sourced either by John or by Avior, at times directly or often in joint venture with Avior Capital Partners funds. It has been a very busy period for our investors through the two Avior funds & 4 bespoke transactions, John’s investor group have been significant participants in all these deals. Portfolio in its own right recently provided funding to a start up building supply company importing product from the UAE, the funding was specific to a Letter of Credit facility. John combines his primary interest of raising funds and investing with his practical experience and knowledge in Project Management where he has various engineering and construction projects underway. His most recent project was the major refurbishment of a CBD hotel for an overseas client with a spend of circa $6M over two years but which was delayed by Covid and further complicated by the sourcing of a significant portion of the works from China. He has recently let a construction contract for a new car showroom in Rockingham for his son Sean Farrell's Rockingham Auto Group which is scheduled for completion in September. This year the Marine business carried out a significant project in commissioning & upgrading a new Horizon 102 motor yacht over some four months in the part of the early year. The yacht has now journeyed through to Darwin where she is having service work done including fitting new propellers & having AMSA registration, also under John’s supervision.
