Director Embedded Systems
CurrentDirecting the daily activities and strategic direction of the Embedded Systems group which encompasses both high performance embedded systems and controlling desktop software systems.This technology stack couples high speed data acquisition via custom designed Linux computers passing preprocessed data through to desktop systems for further processing to an AWS based system for further refinement and data processing. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, acting as primary architect and designing various HW and SW elements of embedded and desktop systems; contracting with hardware and software development firms; managing contract manufacturers for 5 different embedded systems boards; collaborating with mechanical engineering and data analysis teams; and managing multiple SW and HW engineering teams; working with the executive team to refine strategic initiatives; managing a 2M+$ budget.
