Member of senior management team charged with marketing and selling Providence as a leading convention site in the Northeast U.S. Was responsible motivating and challenging an 8-person sales team with a program budget of $1 million. Consistently met or exceeded sales goals on all performance indicators, including number of conventions booked, hotel room night sales and exhibit space sales. Led team development of sales, marketing and PR strategy, including collateral design and production, advertising, public/media relations, e-marketing, direct mail and sales deployment.

Directed the transition of sales and marketing department following SMG’s acquisition of the ACCC management contract. Responsible for maximizing booking volume and revenue. Developed all booking policies and procedures. Established partnership marketing arrangement with local convention and visitor’s bureau. Positioned facility to aggressively pursue a variety of smaller events. Increased short-term bookings by 110% during this period.
