I am a mechanical engineer with a passion for energy efficiency. I have recently left my position at Michaels Energy as a Managing Engineer in the Evaluation Department and am pursuing work in the energy efficiency world as an independent consultant. I am looking forward to the opportunities of working with new partners on projects in the future. My time the last 11 years at Michaels Energy has provided me with diverse experiences including managing and working on a range of projects including impact evaluations of utility programs ranging from residential, commercial, and large industrial, research objectives including TRM updates, large research studies including potential, lighting hours of use, residential building stock and energy usage studies. I have also provided program support in the form of an independent reviewer to reduce evaluation risk to a program’s portfolio. I have also completed retro-commissioning and feasibility studies and energy audits at my time with Michaels as well as calculated and processed custom rebates.Outside of work I enjoy the outdoors. During the winter you will often find me on the ski slopes in the Midwest or in the Rockies. In the summer I enjoy life along the Mississippi River in La Crosse Wisconsin and camping trips to the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota. When I am not doing this I am home brewing fine beverages or traveling the world discovering new places taking pictures along the way.
