CurrentUsing refinery LP (PIMS) and other planning tools to provide economic guidance to refinery decision processes.Optimizing processing units to reduce raw material and energy costs and improve high value product yields. Responsible for working with the refinery partners to understand and update the limits used in the LP model.Working with refinery partners to understand new crude opportunities and work through crude acceptance with refinery operations.Using knowledge of refinery economic drivers and constraints to identify and develop business opportunities.Providing economic analysis support for capital projects as appropriate.Understanding changes, maintaining compliance and optimizing operations regarding product regulations, market drivers, refinery capability, and shipping schedules.Participating in the planning and development of crude runs, gas oil shipments and fuel oil and cutter logistics.Developing refinery shutdown plans working with refining partners and communicating the plan to refinery operations and Coordination Team.Identifying and communicating risks to the plan, developing contingencies to address risk and cost of deviations from plan.Working with the HVP analyst, operations, IMPACT and the planning group to optimize the gas oil tankage plans for the year.Supporting capital projects and shutdown activities and providing direction for oils planning items.Own development of LP case for M5+ plans and support development of the 3 month, M2-M4, Area Operating Plan.Good team playerParticipating in refinery optimization teams including Base Oil, Mogas, Distillate, Gasoil / Resid, and Crude. Maintaining an effective Planning, Operations and Process Engineering interface. Integrating oils planning opportunities with other refineries in the system. Each planning analyst is an integral member of one of these teams and may serve as team leader. Displaying good teamwork behaviour and communication in driving to optimize supply chain performance.
