John Fox is in Second year at Unity College Studying Adventure Therapy. John’s love of nature paired with his desire to help people makes Unity College and The Adventure field a great fit. John has spent the last two summers working for the Appalachian Mountain Club in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. All summer John hiked and honed his outdoor skills. Part of the job is to go out of Search and Rescues or SARs and John has already gained lots of wilderness first aid experience. Skills that will come in very handy when leading an Adventure Therapy trip. As part of an Adventure Facilitation class John put together a tool catalog of 100 low prop activities. Each activity has instructions, safety concerns, and time limits. John also practiced his facilitation skills by going to a 3rd grade class and facilitating a number of the activities.
