I have worked as a teacher in both the university setting and in high school since 2012. During that time, I started a nonprofit (Mississippi Delta Equitable Education Project) that focuses on procuring resources for students in the Mississippi Delta. I also designed and created the WTSD New Teacher Mentorship Program, of which I am now the Program Coordinator. I was named the WTSD Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year, the Mississippi Teach Plus Policy Fellow of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year, and the Academic Excellence Award for Mississippi Teacher Corps (2019 Cohort). I often write about sports for Godzilla Wins and have served as the CFO for Boucherie (New Orleans) and Bourree at Boucherie since 2019.
