J.C. co-founded Renewable Land, after serving as the co-head of Kayne Anderson Renewable Energy Infrastructure Group. He started at Kayne in 1997 and began investing in energy infrastructure in 1998. He was one of the longest-tenured portfolio managers in the listed energy infrastructure sector, overseeing $20 billion in assets at its peak. J.C. is a certified public accountant, and early in his career, he was an audit manager in KPMG Peat Marwick’s financial services group. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University in 1990 and a Master of Taxation from the University of Southern California in 1991.
