I oversee automation contracts and distribution center projects. I supervise and coach a team of direct reports, and develop the overall facility layout for both existing and new distribution centers, including automated garment conveyance systems and workstations. I prepare and evaluate RFQs, interview contractors and suppliers, and maintain schedules. My achievements include:❖Led project for the largest semi-automated garment storage system, resulting in significant improvement in efficiency of order picking.❖Managed all automation projects to align with the company’s business growth while maintaining budgets, forecasts, and schedules. Successfully oversaw supplier selection, facility layout, process simulation, permits, installation, debugging, and system acceptance activities.❖Increased inventory storage capacity at a distribution center by over 300% without the addition of new labor through the abovementioned garment storage system project.❖Named as a Finalist for the annual thredUP Culture Award given to employees who exemplify the company’s core values, particularly on the impact the employee makes within the organization.

I was hired as Director and promoted to VP. I managed engineering design, development, installation, and operation of all manufacturing equipment and production processes. I led the transition of electro-spinning process from a university research lab into volume manufacturing, operated equipment, designed and coordinated improvements to processes and equipment, designed and fabricated filter cartridge manufacturing equipment and implemented order fulfillment process. Past successes:❖Contributed to Liquidity receiving the 2014 Tech Crunch Award for the most innovative new product (water filtration membrane capable of removing 99.9999% of bacteria from water while maintaining the highest flow rate in the industry).❖Designed and built all test and fabrication equipment that was required to assemble the proprietary filtration cartridge for the consumer water bottle product.❖Developed lab and pilot production electro-spinning equipment capable of meeting FDA requirements for bacteria removal from water (membrane produced on these machines exceeded the bacteria removal capabilities and flow rates of comparable products from Applied Materials, Dupont, and BASF).

I was brought in as a Consultant and earned a FT position in 2011. I managed relationships and B2B integration with the company’s Technology and Service partners. I handled all aspects of partner relationships, including contract development, negotiations, and renewals, and reviewed business operations and performance metrics against strategic initiatives. In addition, I drove corporate initiatives with partners and represented partner capabilities internally, serving as the primary POC for related issues. I am proud to have:❖Facilitated company-wide rollout of CRM application. Defined business process for customer tickets and conducted extensive flow analysis, routing, and follow-up activities to ensure successful outcomes.❖Renegotiated service contract with wireless carrier in India (Tata).

I consulted with small to medium-sized businesses to provide expertise and support on industrial engineering matters, with projects primarily focused on material handling automation and process improvements. Clients included:→ InnoPath Software – Designed and implemented comprehensive contract management system using SharePoint WSS. Served as a PM for the upgrade of the TechExcel CRM system. Subsequently hired by the company for a full-time Partner Alliance Manager position.→ Fresenius Medical Devices – Coordinated design and implementation of material storage and conveyance system that provided a 20% increase in production volume w/ a zero increase in headcount or space. Developed overall facility layout plan for a new 250K+ sq. ft. building.→ MaxSP – Served as an Acting Director of Operations. Led design, development, and deployment of company-wide Customer Relations and Business Management system. Enabled 50% reduction in time-to-ship metrics by streamlining order fulfillment and supply chain management functions.→ Infinera – Completed process and material flow analysis of assembly and test operations, resulting in revised layout for improved operator efficiency and additional material storage capacity.→ Walkenhorst’s – Evaluated existing distribution operations and completed detailed designs for 60K sq. ft. automated distribution center. Expanded order processing capacity 3x and reduced headcount.

I was brought on board to implement automation systems required to support manufacturing of photovoltaic tubes. I recruited and managed team in specification, development, and installation of factory-wide Material Handling System. Among my accomplishments:❖Consolidated equipment and capacity requirements from 9 process-engineering groups into a single, cohesive factory layout against extensive schedule and budget constraints, successfully overcoming key challenges.❖Commissioned a manual and automated Material Handling System ($14M budget) that met both immediate product/process design development goals and long-term business requirements.❖Conceptualized design, specification, layout, and capacity analysis for 2nd-generation manufacturing facility (estimated at 450K sq. ft.).

Coordinated the design, procurement and installation of all material handling equipment and supporting infrastructure for the worldwide manufacturing facility.• Developed and organized the overall manufacturing process flow and assembly documentation for all operational elements associated with the manufacture and test of ten unique product families.• Led cross functional teams for the outsourcing of products to contract manufacturers including site evaluation, training and document support.• Managed Tier One supplier relationships by providing technical support, process improvement/verification, BOM structuring and capacity analysis.• Recognized in the February 2001 issue of Modern Materials Handling for outstanding achievement.

Expanded and improved the efficiency and capacity of the worldwide manufacturing operations organization.
