We are a small Australian cartographic design company specialising in the production of customised digital maps for almost any purpose. Our background involves almost 30 years experience in creating print and digital tourist maps and brochures, maps for World atlases, 4WD and fishing guides, road atlases, wine atlases, reference and guide books, as well as thematic maps, walking/hiking trail maps, diagrams for reports, and maps for the mining, energy, engineering and petroleum industries. All maps are produced using digital data and techniques of course, but I like to claim they are still hand made because there is a lot of personal interaction that occurs between "importing the data" and handing over a finished map to a client.Flat Earth Mapping publishes the guide book "Bush Camping with Dogs" (now in its 3rd edition), and the illustrated souvenir tourist map "Kangaroo Island" (Best Map Award at the International Map Industry Association conference in Singapore 2006), and has contributed to many other award winning products, including the series of huge world atlases titled "Earth".Flat Earth Mapping produces a large range of maps published by Westprint Maps, and has worked with Reader's Digest, Global Publishing, Hema Maps, Millennium House, Energy Quest and many others on numerous mapping projects, large and small.
