As an educator:• I have experience across Upper Primary and Lower Secondary classes in both State and Private Queensland Schools, and Upper Primary classes in Western Australian State Schools. I created these at Redbank Plains State School where they have subsequently been embedded from Prep to Year 6.• Providing direct instructional leadership by working alongside teachers in classrooms to improve their explicit instruction. A differentiated approach of mentoring dialogues has been established according to the experience and capacity of the staff member. • Maintaining a highly visible presence, leading the philosophy of authentic high expectations for all our students to learn and achieve, engaging actively with all members of the school community, regularly providing input into school priorities and strategies through dedicated working groups, celebrating success and achievement of students in academic and non-academic pursuits.• Employing effective communication strategies and procedures to ensure transparent and collaborative decision-making processes are in place. • Building staff capability and performance so that planning, delivery and assessing quality learning experiences for our students that are engaging, differentiated and addresses individual learning needs.
