The sales I appreciated the most were sold because I knew them from groups or organizations I belong to.Once a client is secured, it is my responsibility to work with them to improve an ad they may use currently. If they don't have an ad designed we sit together and discuss the services they provide. Through conversation we decide the best route to take so that their potential customer will want to buy products and or services from them.The payment for the ad was usually paid at the time of contract signing. Some advertisers might need to have a payment schedule that I would get approved by the accounts receivable. I would either collect these later payments or the customer would pay at a time they would be invoiced for.I kept a calendar database of my appointments and resign customers. The owners were persuaded to sell me the business in 1992.After I purchased the company, changes such as creating and maintaining office filing systems to include all financial records. I grew the company by purchasing new machinery and marketing my products. We were able to streamline our office and production procedures. Many cost saving procedures were implemented to increase the bottom line for the company. Show less
