Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight from origin to destinationLoad and unload shipments, either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight handling equipmentPerform frequent lifting, pulling and carrying of freightInspects vehicle for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit a written Vehicle Condition Report on the condition of the vehicle at the end of each tripCheck shipping papers to determine the nature of load to ensure hazardous materials are not presentEnsure all shipping documentation (e.g. manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.) required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when deliveredProperly handle and complete all necessary paperwork related to vehicle operations and freight movements
