Profile bio

About John Gamble

I am an experienced quantum engineering leader on a mission to build practical, useful, quantum computers. I have a track record of delivering results across multiple qubit technology stacks through both individual effort and by building effective, cross-functional teams. As a results-driven computational scientist, my main area of expertise is in the modeling and optimization of physical quantum hardware, so I tend to work in continuous and close collaboration with folks spanning from fabrication and experimental physics to abstract theory to management. I often serve as a bridge, driving toward clarity so that organizations can focus on the most important problems. My current technical work centers on deploying large-scale computer-aided engineering tools to understand and improve qubits, which draws heavily on techniques from condensed matter physics, electrical engineering, quantum information science, machine learning, and quantum chemistry. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work on a broad cross-section of quantum-related topics: quantum algorithms, semiconductor quantum dot qubits, semiconductor impurity qubits, topological qubits, trapped ion qubits, quantum characterization, verification, and validation, and the optimization of quantum systems. Please see my google scholar page for a full list of my publications:https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=kA_zKRwAAAAJ&hl=en

Listed skills include Physics, Latex, Mathematica, Theoretical Physics, and 9 others.
