I handle cases at every stage of litigation, from drafting complaints and answers to conducting discovery to drafting dispositive motions and seeking settlements. These tasks require extensive legal research and writing, factual investigation and document review, and constant communication with clients to gather necessary information, keep clients updated on the status of the case, and advise them on their next steps.

As a part-time law clerk, I was primarily involved in legal writing, drafting a wide variety of filings, including sentencing memoranda, motions for judicial release, motions in limine, motions to suppress, and others. I also had extensive client contact, collecting information, updating clients on case status, and sharing discovery. The role also included occasionally assisting attorneys in court and attending hearings for cases in which I was involved.

I was paired with the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission through the Moritz College of Law Legislative Clinic. As an intern with OCSC, I updated and improved the Violent Offender Database Quick Reference Guide maintained by the Commission by reviewing and analyzing dozens of improvement suggestions from local attorneys, researching the relevant statutes and caselaw, and adding my own substantive, stylistic, and structural recommendations. I also assisted on other projects, including assisting in a large-scale project to build a comprehensive spreadsheet of all term definitions in Ohio Revised Code Title 29.

As a full-time, remote Legal Intern for the Office of the Ohio Public Defender in the Legal Division, my role was primarily to support the OPD attorneys in the division by conducting legal research and reviewing and summarizing evidence. I also observed case strategy meetings, brief feedback sessions, and practice oral arguments conducted by the OPD Legal Division attorneys.

As a University Ambassador for the Ohio State University Office of Undergraduate Admissions, my primary role was leading groups of prospective students and their families on 90-minute walking tours of campus. After a rigorous training and certification process, I led 143 tours, leading the most tours of anyone on the staff in the Fall semester of 2018 and the Spring and Summer semesters of 2019. I also helped train three new incoming classes of Ambassadors and acted as an official mentor for a newly hired Ambassador .
