I am a seasoned mobility and vehicle electrification researcher, consultant, and business development executive. At CSE I oversee the administration of EV and EV charging rebate programs for utilities, state and local organizations in 13 states. Previously I headed up Recargo's business development efforts, working closely with automakers, charging network operators and utilities to address business needs using the world's most comprehensive database of EV charging infrastructure. I have been deeply entrenched in the EV ecosystem since 2009, first writing reports on the vehicles, charging infrastructure, and grid impacts, and then leading the transportation research team. I spent several years overseeing Navigant's consulting efforts in helping automakers, government agencies and utilities capitalize on the expansion of the EV market and the transformation of transportation. I have spoken at more than 50 EV and mobility conferences and continue to write about the EV landscape. I have been covering alternative drive transportation for more than a decade, and founded and edited Wired’s Autopia automotive website, where I was the first to report on the overestimation of hybrid fuel economy by EPA tests. Before that I was involved in emerging technologies, including clean energy, and internet and computing technologies. My writing has appeared in Wired News, Inc.Com, PlugInCars.com, ChargedEVs Magazine, Technology Review, Popular Mechanics, and the Environment News Service. Specialties: I have 30 years of experience in evaluating technology, market research, and consulting. I began testing computer products at the National Software Testing Laboratory, and edited and wrote for many of the leading IT technology and business publications including Windows Magazine, Technology Review, TechWeb, McKinsey, and Wired. I was co-founder and editor of Matter Network, writing and editing articles about clean energy and transportation.
