John E. Gatti, MD, FACS was a plastic surgeon in a solo practice in Cherry Hill, NJ for 34 years. He retired from active surgery in 2020 and presently lives in Columbus, Ohio. He completed a general surgery and plastic surgery residency at the Hospital of the Univ of Pennsylvania (1978-1986). He was Board Certified in General Surgery (1985-1995) and Board Certified in Plastic Surgery (1988-2022).His diverse practice involved complex chest wall reconstructions at two Heart Centers (Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes, Deborah Heart and Lung), breast cancer reconstructions at Virtua, and a significant volume of cosmetic surgery involving rhinoplasty, body, eyelid and facial rejuvenative surgery; he maintained a close relationship with a Mohs skin cancer center in Voorhees, NJ (Robert B. Sollitto, MD) and performed more than a thousand facial reconstructions after skin cancer removal over the last ten years.He was involved in five Cleft Missions to Guatemala with CHOP since 2016 and will continue to participate in the future. He remains active in plastic surgery resident and medical student education with lectures and remains on four committees for the ASPS.
