About me:I'm an experienced Operations and Planning Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry. I'm a skilled engineering professional with a background in Renewable Energy, Smart Grid solutions, HVDC, Power System Operations and Market Development. I graduated from University College Dublin with a BE (Hons.) and PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. I am currently responsible for the operation of regulated HVDC interconnectors in Ireland, as well as market and power system operational readiness for future HVDC interconnectors and offshore. I've been appointed to the Coreso Board of Directors and I'm also an Irish National Committee member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. I am involved in various Entso-E and Cigré working groups on power system and electricity market topics, including Cigré Study Committee B4 on HVDC and Power Electronics. I'm also supporting IEC and CENELEC standards working groups through NSAI.
