Mr. Glancy is a shareholder in the Firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office, and he co-chairs the Firm’s nationwide Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets practice group. He has extensive experience litigating high stakes matters in this area and regularly secures temporary restraining orders and other injunctive relief in matters involving restrictive covenants (non-compete, non-solicit, and confidentiality agreements), misappropriation of trade secrets, and claims for tortious interference, unfair competition, and related claims. Mr. Glancy also regularly represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leaves of absence, employment agreements and policies, and related federal and state litigation. He also regularly assists clients with contract disputes, intellectual property issues, whistleblower claims under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, counseling management and conducting management training seminars, and representing employers before state administrative agencies.Mr. Glancy was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and he grew up in Naples, Florida. After serving for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Glancy attended the University of South Carolina, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in English in 1991. Mr. Glancy then attended the University of Florida College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1994. While in law school, he received honors in Legal Research and Writing and the book awards for the highest grade in Appellate Advocacy and Family Law. Mr. Glancy also served as a tutor in contracts law for the College's Council of Ten.
