Cognizance Biomarkers is a neurology focused molecular diagnostic company with a test portfolio that spans both genetics and proteomics. As part of the leadership team at Cognizance my accomplishments include developing a CLIA accredited diagnostic laboratory and spearheading the scientific development of a novel blood-based diagnostic for epilepsy. The latter includes, planning and managing clinical studies, applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify biomarkers, refining diagnostic algorithms and collaborating with the commercialization team to assure validation efforts align with reimbursement strategies.

I worked as part of the founding team at Longevity Biotech and played a key role in developing novel therapeutics, raising capital and managing development partners. As part of this work, I discovered a novel peptide therapeutic to treat Parkinson’s disease. While directing this work I lead all aspects of early stage discovery including: peptide chemistry, compound screening, cell culture, animal testing and pharmacokinetics.
